Williams Lea is hiring for a Records Associate for our Washington, DC office to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Base pay range : $19.00/hr - $20.00/hr Benefits

Deliver exceptional customer service to clients within a corporate law firm environment File creation, labeling, retrievals, transfers, destruction, tracking, and document scanning Coordinate records scanning and retrieval projects with other departments and external vendors Maintain professional written and verbal communication with clients, departments, and vendors Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe PDF, eDocs DM and Legal Key Follow established internal Records procedures Create new files and revise existing files; data entry into the records management database Adhere to document retention policies; labeling, moving, and shelving files Track checked-out files and follow up as needed Process and file incoming records under respective client matters Participate in Records projects and coordinate scanning projects between Records and other departments Perform daily scanning of documents using scanners and Adobe PDF; ensure PDF quality control Track location and movement of files using barcode scanning; retrieve files for client requests Prepare inactive/closed files for off-site storage and work with offsite storage vendors Route and track locked shred bins for the firm’s NY office Maintain daily productivity logs and research client/matter information in firm databases Support any other reasonable Records-related requests while maintaining confidentiality Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred Prior legal records experience required Excellent attention to detail and task focus Professional written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; work with minimal supervision Intermediate Windows 10 computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Experience with Record Management Software (e.g., LegalKEY, MDY FileSurf, IRM) Document scanning and Adobe PDF toolset experience preferred Ability to handle sensitive/confidential materials Willingness to climb short ladders/step stools; lift up to 50 lbs; push carts of files Ability to understand client inquiries and provide effective responses About Williams Lea
