Network Engineer

Herndon, VA . We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient network engineering professional in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in networking protocols, architecture, and security, and demonstrate a proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams. Required Qualifications Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc) Understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs) Familiarity with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc) Familiarity with network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN) Adept in network engineering, with focus on design, implementation, and management of complex networks Experience with network architecture, design, and implementation in a large-scale environment Proven track record of successfully resolving complex network issues and improving network performance In-depth knowledge of specific network technologies such as Routing and switching Network security (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection) Cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Software-defined networking (SDN) Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Experience with creating technical documentation, such as design documents, implementation plans, and technical notes Skills in network protocols Routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, etc. Switching protocols such as STP, LACP, VTP, etc. Desired Qualifications Certifications: CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification Advanced Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or CCIE Cisco Certified Internetwork Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP) Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional BCore is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
