Southeast Colorado Hospital District in Springfield, CO, is seeking a
Human Resources Director
to join our team. Reporting to the Administrator/CEO, you will be a key leader responsible for all aspects of our HR operations, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive work environment. In this role, you will manage a wide range of HR functions, from daily operations to strategic initiatives. This includes developing and maintaining policies, administering benefits and compensation, overseeing recruitment and retention, and handling employee relations. You will also manage compliance with state and federal regulations, and supervise the Payroll Clerk. What you'll do: Operations & Administration:
Ensure the consistent application of HR policies and procedures, manage performance evaluations, and oversee daily HR department functions. Recruitment & Retention:
Lead all recruitment, screening, and placement activities to build and maintain a strong team. Employee Relations:
Provide counseling and support to staff and management, addressing issues and ensuring legal compliance. Benefits & Compensation:
Administer a comprehensive benefits program and manage compensation plans, including salary and wage administration. Compliance:
Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including for FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and unemployment claims. Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Experience:
Previous HR experience managing all employee matters for an organization of at least 50 employees, with experience in contract administration. Skills:
Strong knowledge of HR principles, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a high level of discretion and integrity. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Certifications:
SHRM CP/SCP or HRCI certification is preferred. Salary Range:
$70,000 - $85,000 annually.
