Overview
Account Executive - Cybersecurity Sales at Optiv. You will focus on selling Optiv security services and security technology solutions to a select set of strategic accounts within the Boston Metro Area. You’ll own and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle within your assigned accounts and lead a cross-functional team to build and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan. The cross-functional team includes a Client Solution Architect, Executive Advisory Director, and a Client Operations Specialist. The CD leads this team, while team members are managed from their respective organizations. This is a sales execution leadership role, not a people management position. Responsibilities
Build trusted relationships with client executives at multiple levels within assigned accounts. Lead the team to create a multi-year strategic account management plan aligned with client goals and Optiv’s security perspectives. Develop a large sales pipeline (3-4x assigned targets) within assigned accounts and achieve/exceed gross margin objectives (over $1.5M annually). Manage current and multi-quarter forecasts with high accuracy and integrity. Lead a cross-functional team to execute using Force Management principles (e.g., MEDDICC, Command of the Message). Communicate Optiv’s value proposition related to security services and capabilities. Build strong relationships with technology partners and their sales teams to generate and share leads and maximize opportunities. Coordinate communications between clients, vendors, and internal team members across opportunities. Maintain collaborative internal communications regarding opportunities, requirements, and client satisfaction. What We’re Looking For
7+ years of solution and services-based sales experience in Information Technology or Security. Proven ability to build and execute territory and strategic account plans with a track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar gross margin quotas. Experience leading cross-functional dotted-line teams in a sales context. Strong business acumen linking business goals with cyber security risk to develop complex security solutions. Ability to build strong relationships with executives and sponsors within assigned accounts. Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong negotiation experience. Knowledge of the IT security market, Risk & Compliance market, and competitors. History of exceeding plans and expectations. What You Can Expect From Optiv
