The objective of the Space Development group is to provide innovative technology solutions to ensure our Nation achieves and maintains space superiority in a multi-domain conflict. We're looking for a software engineer to develop space combat power and multi-domain simulation software. Responsibilities

Collaborate using Confluence, Discourse, GitLab, and Jira to manage tasks and documentation Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable software Present development progress to leadership and customers Conduct multidisciplinary research to support modeling and simulation objectives Contribute to team-wide vision, architecture, and strategic direction Design, develop, test, debug, and document simulation software for space applications Requirements

0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years’ experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience. Proficient in C++, including compiling, linking, and debugging applications Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies Practical experience with issue tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, GitLab) Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance and have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance. Preferred Requirements

Familiarity using Python, including embedded Python applications Knowledge of constructive agent-based and event-driven modeling and simulation is a plus Knowledge of space domain concepts: coordinate systems, timekeeping, orbital propagation Familiarity with space domain awareness and space combat power Background in mathematics or physics is a plus Understanding of parallel software development preferred Knowledge with US and Allied space enterprise operations is a plus All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability, age, or veteran status or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local law.
