Design Manager - Up to £500 per day - Northampton - Long term contract\n\nClient\n\n * Our client is a Regional Contractor seeking a Design Manager to join their design team overseeing new build Commercial and Care Home projects.\n\nJob purpose and scope:\n\n * Reporting to the Director of Design, you will contribute to the projects` daily Design Management.\n\n * When required, you will liaise with the Site Manager / Pre-construction team for the development of design packages and procurement strategies.\n\nAccountabilities and key tasks:\n\n * Understand client requirements/output specs\n\n * Assist in the review of and if required, undertake a review of the Design, procurement and construction information to ensure it complies with Project documentation\n\n * Assist in the review of and if required undertake a review of design output and verifies its compliance with Client`s output specifications.\n\n * Prepare monthly report on Activity to DM\n\n * Contribute to the Design Management Plan (DMP)\n\n * Contribute to and if required prepare the Project`s Document\n\nEssential criteria:\n\n * Architectural or Design qualifications\n\n * Experience in construction project design via Architecture route or Main Contractor route.\n\n * Knowledge of the regulatory environment\n\n * Good understanding of the Design & Build process\n\n * Experience in having an active involvement in the meeting process (organising, preparing, chairing, drafting minutes)\n\n * Ability to draft correspondence\n\n * Negotiation skills
