Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a
Project Management Analyst II
to join our Engineering department based in Wichita, Kansas. You will be part of a team that supports the on-time, on-cost and on-quality delivery of project objectives achieving customer satisfaction in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations. This position involves supporting project and program management initiatives to deliver projects that meet established standards for time, cost, and quality. Key duties include assisting leadership and guiding teams to achieve critical milestones for both internal and external clients, as well as managing project costs and schedules through the application of proven project management methodologies. Located on the Wichita State University (WSU) innovation campus is Airbus first dedicated engineering facility outside of Europe. Our team of 200+ support staff and engineers focus on aerostructure design including analysis of aircraft primary structures, such as wings and fuselages, for all major Airbus products across the globe. Develop solutions to a wide range of simple to routine problems. Review and interpret project data and develop quality solutions. Create or modify business performance documents with high quality and efficiency. Develop reporting of actual resource usage and spend versus planned resource and budget for the team. Support development of project budgets and communicating attributes related to business performance including travel and subcontracting to management. Develop materials for team related briefings to internal and/or external customers. Able to understand project planning requirements and implement activities to achieve customer requirements. Effectively communicates issues, solutions, ideas, and status of current work to supervision. Develop, report and analyze KPIs to the Head of Engineering and Engineering Project Lead. Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering or Management. 1+ year total experience in project management office activities which include project leadership experience and analytical work involving costs; designs; resources allocation and interfacing with internal and external parties to achieve common goals. Position requires in-depth knowledge of technical principles of engineering. Applied knowledge of technical documentation, techniques and procedures. A strong computer background, including MS Office application experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail). Authorized to Work in the US Working knowledge of all Airbus Structures. Physical Requirements
Onsite or remote: Onsite 90% Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
