Brand Strategist
to join our team. The Brand Strategist role involves research, analysis, and storytelling to address market challenges and trends. Key skills include future-focused planning, client presentations, and representing brand audiences. Candidates should excel in research, data analysis, and storytelling. This position demands expertise in market research, competitor analysis, ad performance data analysis, and ad brief writing. Creative strategists should understand digital marketing, possess critical thinking skills, and be familiar with media buying. Knowledge of current cultural touchpoints like music and social landscapes are crucial. Our ideal candidate has a solution-oriented mindset, acting as the consumer's voice. They must intimately understand the target audience's aspirations, fears, and motivations, bridging the gap between consumers and brands. They inspire fresh thinking and shape storytelling approaches, helping to develop creative solutions as required. What Youll Do: Youll be essential in guiding clients toward success by understanding consumer needs and crafting impactful creative briefs based on research-driven insights. Key Responsibilities: CAMPAIGN STRATEGY Develop and execute high-impact advertising campaigns that effectively reach and engage multicultural audiences. Create content and messaging strategies that authentically connect with cultural nuances. Make recommendations, set goals, and KPIs for campaigns, consistently optimizing strategies to drive business growth. Be skilled at understanding audience motivations, fears, tensions, and interests to derive unique insights that can inspire creative work. BRAND PLANNING Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to evolve and strengthen their brand identities within multicultural contexts. Craft comprehensive brand strategies that align with clients' objectives and deeply resonate with target audiences. Oversee the implementation of brand strategies, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. CREATIVE BRIEFING Collaborate with creative teams to develop creative briefs that effectively communicate the brand/campaign strategy and objectives. Tell a story that is cohesive, inspiring, and captivating to clients and creative teams. Develop client version of briefs and creative version when necessary. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Support agency's growth by contributing innovative ideas and approaches to multicultural marketing. Act as a catalyst for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the agency. RESEARCH Utilize research to support efforts to uncover cultural insights and trends for clients. Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges within specific demographic segments. Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activities. Be knowledgeable about various research methods, formats, partners, and best practices. Utilize data to conceive of content themes, formats, and more to develop performance-driven program ideas that feel organic for clients. Ability to apply performance metrics to new ideas. Social listening natively and on social listening platforms like Infegy, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, and other emerging platforms. Comfortable using and adding AI to existing processes. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Clear written and verbal communication with other departments to ensure all necessary information is secured. Ability to convey ideas internally and to clients in a clear, succinct, and inspiring manner. Exceptional understanding of multicultural consumer behavior, cultural insights, and trends. Strong writing and communication skills. Comfort with technology, including AI, spreadsheets, presentation software and content management systems. Understanding of marketing principles and strategies Public speaking skills, with the ability to lead presentations and meetings. Excellent research skills Thoughtful creative and strategic thinking.
