Our client is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of Merchandising to serve as a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue and profitability through the development and execution of data-informed line plans. This role is central to shaping the product assortment and ensuring SKU productivity across all categories. Will collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Design Team to bring the line plan to life, ensuring that product vision aligns with brand identity and market demand. This individual will lead Product Development and Operations, overseeing the end-to-end process from concept to delivery. As part of this oversight, the Director will work directly with factory partners to ensure product execution meets quality, cost, and timeline expectations. They will analyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to inform merchandising strategies. Will work cross-functionally with the Sales Team, engage directly with customers, and maintain a pulse on the competitive landscape to ensure the product offering remains compelling and commercially successful. The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000 based on experience. Responsibilities:

Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform product and merchandising decisions. Develop and manage seasonal and annual line plans that optimize SKU productivity and drive financial performance. Partner with Creative and Design teams to translate merchandising strategy into compelling product assortments. Lead Product Development and Operations, including direct engagement with factory partners to ensure alignment on product execution. Collaborate with Sales to align product strategy with channel needs and customer demand. Conduct regular competitive and marketplace analysis to identify opportunities and risks. Own the merchandising calendar and ensure cross-functional alignment on key milestones. Drive continuous improvement in merchandising processes, tools, and reporting. Conduct regular touchpoint meetings to track progress and ensure execution. Oversee customer/sales requests and other ad hoc opportunities. Required Qualifications:

5-6 years of relevant merchant experience either from a vertical fashion retailer or a brand. Well-developed and highly analytical merchant skills. Strategic thinking skills with an entrepreneurial approach. Passion for the product and maintaining brand heritage. Elevated taste level and eye for the designer market for continuous improvement and challenge. Experience with brand building while maintaining brand integrity. Experience with wholesale, DTC commerce, shop-in-shop, and pop-up specialty and making recommendations where to best grow distribution strategically. Excellent written and oral communication. Experience with Storytelling as a vehicle for growth. Excellent understanding of retail, wholesale, and fashion industries and markets. Management and leadership skills; strong business acumen. Excellent merchandising and product instincts; great understanding of fashion brands. Strong knowledge of product development and sourcing. Strong analytical skills; comfort with data and retail math Innovative, creative and entrepreneurial mindset with strong business skills. Self-starter and independent learner. Experience with thoughtful and strategic "risk-taking" for growth. Experience working in Excel for reporting.
