Lane One Transport is an in-house freight brokerage serving a leading lumber company. We coordinate the movement of freight with trusted carrier partners to ensure reliable, cost-effective service. Unlike a trucking company, we don't own trucks-we focus on building strong relationships, problem-solving, and making sure loads move smoothly from start to finish.
Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented, team-focused Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for covering loads, monitoring shipments, maintaining communication with carriers and customers, and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is committed to providing exceptional service.
Dispatcher Responsibilities:
Scheduling orders to make freight deliveries or collect shipment details. Collaborate with teammates to balance workload and support overall company goals. Assist with problem-solving and resolving issues that may arise in transit. Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests. Developing relationship with carriers. Planning and scheduling shipments with carriers. Maintaining timeliness of system use and keeping all systems updated. Ensure compliance with legal requirements of freight transportation. Dispatcher Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's or associate degree in transportation or logistics would be advantageous. Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations. Extensive experience in customer service. Ability to adapt under pressure and solve issues with a team-first mindset. Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS), such as TMW, McLeod, Aljex, PCS, ITS among others, is a plus. Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to counsel drivers on per DOT regulations to operate truck to cover loads. Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws will put the right candidate out front. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience
Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
