Forklift Equipment Operator

Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts to stack and unstack lumber on kiln carts.
Unload green stackers at production levels and organize lumber in accordance with stacking policies.
Collect and sort loose boards, identifying usable and unusable pieces, and transport them appropriately.
Maintain cleanliness in kiln areas and lumber yard, and assist with ongoing maintenance duties.
Conduct pre-shift safety checks on forklifts, refuel as necessary, and ensure all safety interlocks are functioning.
Adhere to all established safety procedures, including lockout protocols.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
At least six months of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
Prior experience operating industrial forklifts, capable of handling 35,000-pound equipment.
Able to distinguish between sizes, widths, and lengths of lumber.
Comfortable working outdoors in various temperatures and loud environments, performing physical tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and execute the essential physical functions of the role.
Commitment to following safety policies and effective communication with team members.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and physical assessment.
