Job Summary: As a Night Receiving Clerk, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our receiving processes. You will verify and manage receiving documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry and communications with inbound drivers. Key Responsibilities: Communicate effectively with inbound drivers to facilitate the receiving process. Verify critical documentation for received products, including Bills of Lading and warehouse receiving documents. Notify the Supervisor of any major discrepancies before the product is received. Maintain a detailed log of inbound carriers. Post received purchase orders in the system. Prepare the daily Receiving Exception Report. Coordinate with team members regarding Dock Door assignments and driver contact. Assist with collecting freight handling and late delivery fees, ensuring proper documentation and issue receipts. Compile end-of-shift receiving and inventory debriefs. Check accuracy of team members’ time and performance records. Document outbound trailers accurately in shipping logs. Promptly report any damage or discrepancies in inventory. Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards and other applicable regulations. Cross-train for Shipping Clerk functions as needed. Perform other assigned duties as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Additional coursework or relevant experience is a plus. Prior receiving or warehouse experience preferred. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in using email, word processing, and spreadsheet applications. Flexible scheduling availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Environmental Job Conditions: Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs. Capability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat regularly within a refrigerated warehouse environment. Endurance for fast-paced work in varying temperature settings, including below freezing. Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Exposure to products that may contain food allergens. Comfortable using necessary equipment after training, including computers and handheld devices. The compensation for this position ranges from $19.75 to $23.75, based on various factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
