This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive supply chain and component sales strategy to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Strategy development: Create and implement a supply chain strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and industry standards. Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales and oversee all component sales activity. Oversee the management of supply chain processes, including audits and corrective actions. Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-functional team of supply chain and sales personnel. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes safety, efficiency, fiscal responsibility and customer focus. Continuous improvement: Identify, initiate, and lead improvement projects to optimize quality, performance, and cost. Risk management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions or logistical challenges. Teamwork: Work closely with aircraft maintenance and other personnel to help achieve high levels of collaboration and continuous improvement in both supply chain and aircraft maintenance functions. Purchase/Repair and vendor relations Supplier management: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with suppliers, vendors, customers and OEMs. Contract negotiation: Oversee and negotiate supplier contracts to secure the best possible terms for quality, cost, service and delivery. Sourcing and procurement: Lead the sourcing and purchasing/repairs of all necessary parts, equipment, and services, ensuring high quality, on-time delivery, optimal cost and compliance. Operations and inventory Inventory control: Manage an effective inventory management system to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, ensure timely part availability and balance maintenance needs with cost-efficiency, ensuring critical parts are available. Logistics oversight: Supervise all logistics and distribution operations, including transportation, warehousing, and customs, to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery. Demand forecasting: Collaborate with maintenance, finance, and operations to accurately forecast supply needs. Technology: Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure efficient and accurate Supply Chain information. Sales And Customer Management Sales Activities: Oversee all sales activities, including quoting, bidding, and negotiating contracts with airlines, brokers, and other end-users. Customer Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction. Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through proactive account management and solution-based selling. Compliance and financial oversight Regulatory compliance: Ensure all supply chain and sales activities comply with strict company and regulatory agencies, including but not limited to the FAA. Budgeting and finance: Manage and forecast supply chain expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial discipline. Performance monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on supply chain performance to senior management. Provide necessary supply chain analysis to support the overall organization and financial goals. Requirements 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain management, preferably within the aerospace or advanced manufacturing industries. Extensive experience with Airline, MRO and supply chain management. Proven track record of creating, executing, and improving supply management strategies in complex environments. Key Competencies Leadership: Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Analytical: Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analytics and forecasting. Negotiation: Expertise in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships. Technical knowledge: A deep understanding of aviation industry regulations, supply chain functionality, technology, including Excel and automation/software. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to influence stakeholders and customers at all levels.
