We are looking for an RAN Cloud Engineer with OAMP/FCAPS/OSS knowledge/experience for EMS/NMS and RAN network elements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: EMS/NMS/OSS/OAMP/FCAPS subsystem integration and troubleshooting in wireless networks. Tier2/Tier3 experience Work under pressure to drive support teams to troubleshoot commercial NMS/EMS application, Platform/Transport issues, propose workarounds. Work with R&D and Tier3 to provide the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to the customer. Assist SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) with development of product requirements, feature requirements, systems and performance analysis. Work closely with support organizations and cross-functional teams from R&D to achieve successful new product roll-outs and developments. Ensure customer commitments are achieved according to plan. Travel sporadically during the project as needed. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of OAMP/FCAPS/OSS knowledge/experience for EMS/NMS and RAN network elements. Bachelors degree in EE/CS/TE is required; Masters degree preferred. Experience in authoring and implementing EMS/NMS/NE SW upgrade MOPs in commercial networks. Tier2/Tier3 SME experience ability to work under pressure to troubleshoot and propose workarounds for NMS/EMS application issues, and collaborate with R&D for RCA. Experience with EMS/NMS/OAMP/FCAPS subsystem design and development in telecom industry. Experience with network management systems and high availability system support. Understanding of Netconf protocol, YANG models, REST APIs, VES/SNMP standards, and NMS/OSS interfaces. Knowledge of Automation & Orchestration frameworks (e.g., ETSI MANO, TOSCA, ONAP) is beneficial. Experience in managing Openstack/Kubernetes environments is beneficial. Understanding of 3GPP systems, core and RAN networks, architecture, and protocols is beneficial. Experience in Java and web-based application development is beneficial. Basic understanding of Openstack/Kubernetes, virtual switches, network configurations, VLANs, SAN/NAS/iSCSI is preferred. Troubleshooting experience using command-line tools and scripts. Hands-on experience with L2/L3 switches and routers configuration and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of IP protocols & QoS.
