The friendly staff in each center assist businesses with posting their job openings on www.jobs.state.nm.us, special recruitment, analyzing hard to fill jobs, layoffs, job fairs, and skills assessments for hiring. For job seekers, staff assist with job search, job referrals and placement, and customized skill development like interviewing skills and resume writing.

With a mission to Employ, Empower, Educate and Enforce the New Mexico Workforce Solutions team is committed to promoting vocational wellness for job seekers as well as developing a stable and qualified workforce to meet the needs of area businesses.
How does it get done?
Build relationships with employers in Lincoln County to understand and advocate for business needs. Educate employers and organizations on services available to them which are offered through the America's Job Centers. Identify and educate employers on relevant labor market information, programs, and tax incentives that could be beneficial to the business. Be a central point of connection between the job seeker and businesses. Facilitate and coordinate meetings, hiring events, and community outreach opportunities. Also partner and collaborate at events with using community resources. Use effective communication strategies including in person, email, phone, and web communication. Attend business meetings, organizing job fairs, participating in outside job fairs and attend other events where the agency would have a presence and involvement at local events, community events, Chamber of Commerce events. Assisting both the employers and job seekers that come into the AJC offices.

Employers, Workforce Partners and job seekers.
Ideal Candidate
Excellent listening, written and strong verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as effective team member. Attention to detail and accuracy, strong work ethic and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through in a timely manner. Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as ability to learn software and database programs. Capability to work collaboratively with colleagues, job seekers and employers. Ability to embrace diversity and difficult personal circumstances in serving customers and colleagues of varied backgrounds and learning styles. Customer service experience in outside sales or marketing. Experience in Human Resources or Business Administration.
Minimum Qualification
Associate degree in Social Services, Education, Government, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in community engagement, customer service, administrative support, business administration, human resources, recruitment, placement, processing personnel transactions, and/or eligibility determination in a private or public sector and/or social welfare program. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Office setting with face-to-face interaction with clients is a must. Sitting for long periods of time viewing computer monitor. Repetitive hand movement. Standing, walking, lifting up to 20 lbs.
Travel may be required to include overnight stays.
Background check will be required.
