The Coordinator of Culture at Girard College will play a crucial role in supporting the High School and Elementary/Middle School Principals in fostering a positive and inclusive school environment; there will be one position appointed for each school. The primary goal of these roles is to proactively address behaviors and social-emotional concerns impacting instructional time and academic achievement. Under the direction of the appropriate Principal, the coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the school environments prominently promote our core values: Integrity, Respect, Compassion, Responsibility, and Courage with fidelity and vibrancy.

Key Responsibilities:

School Culture & Climate: Assist teachers in building staff capacity for enforcing school culture. Provide support to staff in maintaining high behavioral standards. Follow up with staff after Code of Conduct violations to facilitate restorative conversations and close the loop on incidents. Lead and implement initiatives that promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture Strengthen and cultivate an environment of care, responsible behavior, and accountability among students Serve as a point of contact for students regarding behavioral issues, executive functioning, and school culture-related matters Behavior Management:

Work directly with students to help them adjust behaviors and norms to thrive in the classroom. Coordinate with the Office of Student Success and Counseling to ensure all level 2 referrals are resolved and communicate effectively with students, caregivers, and teachers within 48 hours. Consult with the principal to determine appropriate discipline and consequences for student behavior. Promote restorative practices throughout the school to create a culture of equity, belonging, healing, accountability, and strong relationships. Refer students meeting Serious Behavioral Response (SRB) guidelines to the Elementary/Middle or High School Assistant Principals. Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the Assistant Principals, Academic Counselor, teachers, Success Team, and families to connect students to academic resources and develop necessary skills. Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and reinforcement of Uniform and Cell Phone policies. Family Relationship Support:

Facilitate family workshops and meetings to provide strategies and resources for supporting student behavior and social-emotional growth at home. Collaborate with families to address concerns and develop individualized plans to support student success. Develop and maintain effective communication. Channels with parents and guardians to foster positive relationships between home and school Provide regular updates on student culture initiatives, student well-being, and school-wide events Serve as a resource to families navigating student development issues, behavioral concerns, and academic support Event and Program Creation:

Student Engagement and Support:

Develop programs that support students' personal growth Promote initiatives that encourage student leadership and positive peer relationships Provide mentoring support to students who need assistance with personal and behavioral growth Develop incentive programs to recognize and reward positive behavior and academic excellence. Design events and programs that prepare students for college and career readiness, aligned with core values. Develop incentive programs that recognize academic and behavioral achievements, encouraging a culture of excellence. Diversity and Inclusion:

Support and celebrate diversity within the school community. Create and promote programs and events that recognize and celebrate cultural, ethnic, and individual diversity. Ensure that all school activities and policies reflect the values of inclusion and equity. Work with students, staff, and families to create an environment where all members feel valued and respected. Qualifications

Education requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience 10+ years.

At least three years of experience working with K through 12 schools on culture and compliance as it relates to student populations. Experience with a behavioral management platform like Infinite Campus is a plus. Experience and/or training in restorative justice models. A deep commitment to the core values of Integrity, Respect, Compassion, Responsibility, and Courage. Proven experience in education, particularly in behavior management and SEL instruction, with a background in positive behavior incentive systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and families. Ability to be highly present and visible, maintaining a positive and inclusive school culture.
