The opportunity
We innovate with SAP to co-create more innovative answers, drawing on our integrated competencies in tax, assurance, transactions, and risk, as well as our work in implementing SAP. Together, we help clients provide better outcomes and long-lasting results, from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities As a Senior Manager in our Technology practice, you will play a pivotal role in interacting with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure that newly implemented technology solutions meet these requirements. Your collaboration with technical teams will be crucial in designing and delivering effective system architecture solutions.
Leading engagement delivery and managing client relationships on a daily basis.
Overseeing program/project management and ensuring engagement economics are met.
Developing resource plans and budgets for complex engagements.
Consistently deliver quality client service. Monitor progress, manage risk and keep key stakeholders informed about progress and outcomes.
Demonstrate effective leadership and motivation strategies within diverse teams; provide feedback and coaching for team members and emerging professionals.
Drive business growth by generating new opportunities and presenting strategic solutions to serve clients while cultivating business development opportunities.
Establish and sustain long-term client relationships and networks; foster collaboration across EY practices to meet client needs.
Enhance client operations by optimizing end-to-end processes related to SAP Transportation Management (TM).
Configure, design, build, test, and deploy the core S/4 Transportation Management solution with integration to other solutions.
Lead interactive workshops to guide design decisions with clear recommendations.
Demonstrate accountability for client solutions delivered and navigate SAP TM system environments.
Collaborate with technical leaders to estimate efforts for customizations and enhancements, addressing architectural needs beyond SAP including interfaces, extensions, and cloud implications.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver standout EY S/4 Transportation Management solutions.
Skills and attributes for success To thrive in this role, you will need a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that build strong relationships and deliver results.
On typical engagements, you will assess needs and guide SAP system capabilities; lead requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, workflow and documentation, and the functional design of the solution. You will translate requirements into business solutions and manage configurations and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems. Key skills include:
Strong technical skills in application functional design and technology business requirements definition.
Proven ability to analyze and map technology cost-benefit scenarios.
Expertise in system configuration design and business architecture frameworks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
Typically, 9 years of relevant experience working with one or more SAP modules.
Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of at least two full-life cycle SAP TM implementations as workstream lead, engagement lead or Solution Architect.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.
Experience managing SAP projects or work streams, including supervising project-based team members.
Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and industry-relevant consulting experience.
Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations and new technologies.
A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40-60%.
Ideally, you’ll also have experience leading teams and managing change.
Prior consulting experience.
SAP certification(s).

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range for this job in all US locations of $171,600 to $392,100; for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) the range is $205,900 to $445,700. Salaries are influenced by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off options.
Hybrid model: most client-facing roles are expected to work in person 40-60% of the time over engagements.
