JOB DESCRIPTION
Schedule : 7a - 330p (DAYS TO BE SET EACH MONTH) 2 SOMETIMES 3 DAYS A WEEK DEPENDENT ON BUSINESS NEEDS
Position Title : Receiving clerk
Position Overview :
The receiving clerk verifies incoming shipments against the original purchase order and the accompanying bill of lading or invoice. The clerk handles any discrepancies and routes the shipment to the appropriate department. The receiving clerk also keeps and maintains a filing system for all records of incoming/outgoing shipments, prepares shipping documents and mailing labels.
Key Accountabilties : • Receiving of all incoming shipments ground and LTL freight. • Checking the accuracy of delivered amounts, counts, or weight as represented by the packing list. • Receiver will inspect all incoming packages for presence of pest infestation and other objectionable material. • Ensure products meets quality standards; check for damages, and record discrepancies. • Keying in purchase order receipts via Datasplice. • Ensure all stores material is properly labeled and on cart daily for storeroom clerk to bring up. • Ensure work order related parts are staged in the proper locations for Team Leaders. • Notify Storeroom manager when blanket orders are not marked properly. • Coordinate and assist with incoming/outgoing interplant transfers between plants. • Notify requisitioner of non-stock orders received. • Handle capital project parts receiving, labeling, and notifying affected engineer via email/phone. • rrange for adjustments with vendors/shippers whenever parts are lost, damaged, or have an overage or underage of material between PO and packing list. • Clerk is required to ship and track all outgoing materials generated by the Buffalo plant. • Keep the receiving area and office organized, clean, and safe. • Deliver US mail and small packages to 2 nd floor offices. • Keep vendors/delivery drivers of any changes to receiving schedule (holidays, shutdowns, vacations) • Inform manager of any safety hazards in the receiving area and/or office. • ttend plant wide communications and safety meetings as required.
Minimum Qualifications : High school diploma, 2-4 years receiving/warehouse experience, Attention to detail, Ability to navigate multiple software platforms. Ability to perform work independently, Good problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications : Technical knowledge, MRO parts experience
