Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing the flow of goods, ensuring that incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and verifying shipments, preparing necessary documentation, and coordinating logistics with carriers.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and checking for damage or discrepancies.
Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
Track and trace shipments, providing status updates to management and customer service representatives.
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Handle materials, including unloading trucks, sorting and stocking received items, and loading outgoing freight, which may require operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
Manage inventory records using software systems, such as an ERP system, to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company safety regulations.
Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal teams.
Essential Skills
Experience in inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP systems.
Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
