Responsibilities Work in a diagnostic imaging department within an acute care hospital Perform ultrasound studies in general abdomen, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts, superficial structures, and neonatal head Perform procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative scans Utilizes Canon i700 ultrasound machine, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS Variable shifts with 40-hour workweeks, including call responsibilities as appropriate May float to other departments or units as needed All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start, typically scheduled the Friday before a Monday start date Duties include performing ultrasound exams for various normal and pathological findings in adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients Call coverage may be required based on department needs Healthcare professional attire or personal scrubs required Must be available to staff all shifts, including potential floating to other nursing departments Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist in an acute hospital setting Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association Current ARDMS credentials in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB), and Vascular (RVT) Demonstrated competency in abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal head, superficial structures, and vascular ultrasound procedures License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-586109.
