WET (Design)
Overview
The position will be responsible for the design of Water Feature Project Networks and the configuration, installation and ongoing support of their network infrastructure, which includes HPE/Aruba and Antaira switches, Fortinet Firewall Gateway Routers, Ubiquiti Wi-Fi systems, Dante audio devices and other ethernet devices on the network. The role also covers design, integration and configuration of DMX-512/ArtNet lighting systems and WET’s proprietary SDX device control networks. Responsibilities
Work with team to design, specify, install, configure and troubleshoot Water Feature Project Networks, Services and Connected Devices (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi systems, Dante or ArtNet nodes, etc.) Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including firmware, service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations. Collaborate with team to design, integrate, specify, install, configure and troubleshoot Fountain Show Animation Control System Devices including workspaces for DMX-512/ArtNet and SDX, and inter-machine interfaces. Assist with implementing new network hardware and network management/analysis/troubleshooting, and provide input for developing operating procedures and policies as needed or requested. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning. Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Required Qualifications
Design, installation and testing knowledge of copper and fiber network cabling and wiring systems. Enterprise Network Engineering experience (Layers 2 and 3). Working technical knowledge of network switching protocols (STP, CDP, LLDP). Expert knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP network technologies (DHCP, DNS, NAC, NAT, NTP, QoS, SSL, TFTP, VLANs and Tagging) and ability to implement and troubleshoot/sniff TCP/IP networks. Advanced hands-on experience with HPE/Aruba switches, Wi-Fi systems and Firewall/VPN devices. Design, installation and testing knowledge of Network Audio/Video/ArtNet data streaming and IGMP Snooping. Basic Linux knowledge (modify IP settings and network services). Ability to operate tools, components, peripherals, and testing accessories. Ability to use large spreadsheets to create addressing/numbering schemes for various Water Devices & Effects. Ability to travel and/or participate in 24/7 on-call rotation during certain project phases. Certifications and Education (preferred)
