6 weeks Location:
Hanover, MD, 21076 Responsibilities Provide support to both the front and back office, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care. Greet and room patients. Schedule appointments and answer phone calls. Record vital signs and patient information. Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and administer vaccines. Assist with clinical procedures and provide additional support as needed. Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to an externship). Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred. Occupational Health experience strongly preferred. Proficiency in phlebotomy/venipuncture and use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) required. Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and solid computer proficiency. Commitment to health education, patient outreach, and making a positive difference in the community. Required Skills Front and back-office experience Phlebotomy EKG Point-of-Care (POC) testing Scheduling Patient rooming Recording vital signs BLS or CPR certification (candidates without certification may begin pending approval) Experience Required Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (in addition to an externship). Strong familiarity with clinical workflows and patient interaction. Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
