Position Overview

This role involves a blend of clinical and administrative duties to support healthcare providers during patient examinations and treatments. Responsibilities include entering patient data, assisting with vital signs, and documenting medical histories to ensure smooth patient care.

Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Record vital signs, medications, chief complaints, and other relevant patient information accurately. Observe and report any significant changes in patient condition promptly to nursing or medical staff. Enter patient data into electronic health records using ICD-10 and CPT codes for billing and clinical reporting. Prepare exam rooms and instruments, assist providers with procedures, and handle specimen collection and processing according to guidelines. Manage medication preparation and labeling for practitioner verification and administration. Coordinate prescription orders with pharmacies as directed by authorized providers. Address non-clinical patient inquiries and complaints professionally. Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations. Experience Levels

Medical Assistant I:

Manage a caseload of 20+ patients daily; relevant clinical experience preferred. Medical Assistant II:

Handle 25+ patients daily, process referrals and disability forms; requires 2-5 years clinical experience. Medical Assistant III:

Lead training and onboarding, manage 35+ patients daily, oversee billing and coding, and implement operational improvements; requires 5+ years clinical experience including 3 years in a subspecialty such as orthopedics, cardiology, urology, surgery, or primary care. Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and teamwork orientation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively. Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment. Education

Medical Assistant I: Completion of a Medical Assisting program, Certified Nurse Assistant program, or Military Medical Specialist training required. Alternatively, two years of on-the-job training plus a high school diploma or GED may be considered. Certifications

All levels require current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider). Medical Assistant II and III require CNA or MA certification.

Successful candidates must pass a physical exam, drug screening, and background checks prior to employment.

This opportunity is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Pacific Southwest region of the United States.
