We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Inspector with strong attention to detail and a passion for excellence to join our team. The QC Inspector plays a key role in ensuring our products meet customer requirements and industry standards through precise inspection and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with a balance of drive, humility, and people skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Inspect finished parts to determine classification for acceptance, rework, or scrap.

Measure product dimensions using inspection instruments such as spline gages, thread gages, ID/OD micrometers, calipers, profilometers, and comparators.

Compare inspection results with customer specifications and engineering requirements to verify conformance.

Review work orders and sampling plans to determine inspection criteria in accordance with customer and industry standards

Accurately record inspection and test data (e.g., hardness, size, surface finish, run-out, and quantities inspected)

Prepare detailed inspection reports, including defect reports for customer disposition

Perform mold inspections, custom final inspections, hand inspections, and Vario operator tasks

Collaborate with quality inspectors/technicians and production staff to resolve quality issues

Maintain organized inspection records and support continuous improvement activities

Serve as backup for mold inspection, quality technician, Vario operator, custom final inspection, and hand inspection

Measure first articles and generate First Article Inspection (FAIR) reports in accordance with customer and industry requirements

Perform tool verifications to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance

Coordinate and set up 3rd party calibration services, including sending tools out for calibration and tracking their status

Maintain calibration of inspection tools and equipment within the company's calibration program.

Perform other quality-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of inspection experience (aerospace industry experience preferred)

Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment

Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and job responsibilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Physical Requirements & Safety

Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed

Manual dexterity to handle small parts and precision instruments

Adherence to all company safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with Cal/OSHA standards
