Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a
Shipping/ Receiving Driver
in partnership with a prominent client in Endicott, NY within the machining industry.
Shipping/ Receiving Driver Summary : Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience. Shift: Monday - Friday; 7am to 3:30pm
Shipping/ Receiving Driver
Responsibilities: Ensure all scheduled deliveries depart and arrive promptly. Manage fueling and cleanliness of delivery vehicles. Perform pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle readiness. Report any vehicle damage or maintenance issues. Support the VP of Operations in organizing regular vehicle maintenance. Handle basic administrative duties related to shipping and receiving. Provide assistance with delivery and logistics operations as needed. Meet daily with the VP of Operations to review delivery schedules and discuss logistics. Communicate effectively with the operations team to address delivery challenges. Keep accurate records of deliveries and provide regular updates to leadership. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to transport and delivery. Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Possess knowledge of local delivery routes and schedules. Effectively plan and execute transportation logistics. Foster positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and team members. Use two-way radio or cell communication; remain composed in urgent situations. Communicate directly with customers via phone and electronic methods. Address and resolve customer complaints. Gather and assess all relevant information, responding promptly to customer inquiries and complaints. Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, document details of inquiries, comments, complaints, and actions taken.
Shipping/ Receiving Driver Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Minimum of three (3) years of relevant driving experience with a clean driving record. Maintain a valid Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement and no airbrake restrictions. Work Flexible hours on occasion. Experience with Microsoft Word/Office. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to read and understand purchase orders. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Possesses strong oral and written communication skills. Possesses a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
