Position Overview:

As the Director of Major Gifts and Fundraising Development, you will lead the strategy and execution of fundraising efforts to enhance donor engagement and drive revenue growth. Collaborating closely with the Vice President of Philanthropy and other leadership, you will identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts that support the mission of St. Vincent's Medical Center and the Fairfield Region. Key Responsibilities: Fundraising and Portfolio Management:

Independently manage the lifecycle of major gifts, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects capable of contributing $10,000+. Build and nurture a portfolio of over 100 prospects, including both annual and planned giving opportunities. Leadership & Strategic Initiatives:

Supervise the Associate Director of Corporate & Community Relations, guiding goals and strategic planning efforts. Strategy & Planning:

Collaborate with leadership to set fundraising goals and develop comprehensive plans for capital and major fundraising activities. Engage with high-net-worth individuals and organizations to solicit major gifts. Additionally, you will take on special projects and provide event support when necessary. Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Experience:

A minimum of 5 years in fundraising, project management, or a related field; ideally 7-10 years. Proven supervisory experience, preferably in a 501(c)(3) organization. Familiarity with Raisers Edge or similar fundraising software is preferred. Experience working in Fairfield County, CT, is highly preferred. Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and standards. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. A collaborative approach to work with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with fundraising databases.
