The Role: The Vice President, Operations serves as a stakeholder to the operations, investment team, and asset management teams, helping to identify tools that add to the effectiveness of the Company’s marketing, customer service, and operating policies, and procedures. The Vice President, Operations, is given broad operating latitude and decision-making responsibility for the management of a significant real estate portfolio. This role aims to provide and execute operational strategies that aim to enhance the Company’s operating capacity. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate a consistent needs assessment around policy, process, talent, tech platforms, and performance thereof as it relates to all aspects of talent management, marketing, customer service, asset preservation, and property operations. Create effective programs to ensure that all within the property management company are well versed in the Company’s short and long-term goals, mission, and requirements to properly execute business plans for each asset. Provide the necessary education and support to the coaching of team members at all levels within Avanath including the corporate support team. Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in a community management position is highly desired. 10+ years in multifamily experience highly desired. Must possess intermediate skill level of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), property management systems, Internet, and email. Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit/Bond/conventional qualifications preferred as it’s based on the needs of the region. Key Accountabilities: Fiscal and Operational Responsibilities: Must visit their communities no less than 1x per quarter to ensure that the needs of communities are met. Participate in all strategic business development opportunities. Serve as business partner to all departments within Avanath such as acquisitions and the investments team with pre-deal review of market conditions and pro-forma financial estimates.
