MV Transportation is looking for a dedicated
Inventory Parts Specialist
to join our team. This role is essential in providing administrative support to the Maintenance Manager, Parts Manager, and other supervisory personnel in the maintenance department. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to support a vital operation, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Post parts to work orders efficiently. Enter work orders accurately into the fleet maintenance software. Create and manage purchase orders using fleet maintenance software. Handle all shipping and receiving tasks, both domestic and international. Identify part numbers and provide descriptions to assist fleet maintenance technicians using software and catalogs. Monitor daily fuel readings and relay them to fuel vendors. Transmit daily fuel delivery receipts to the client. Order parts for inventory and out-of-service buses as well as special requests. Manage parts cores as necessary. Collaborate closely with the Parts Manager to maintain optimal part inventory levels. Conduct cycle counts, inventories, and obsolete parts surveys as directed. Work with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and efficiency. Maintain organized files for easy access and reference. Submit accurate reports on time. Oversee departmental assignments to ensure timely completion. Assist the Parts Manager in overseeing department finances within the approved budget. Ensure the parts system adheres to standards acceptable to the division and client. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in bus parts is desirable. Clean driving record and reliable employment history with a strong attendance and punctuality emphasis. Familiarity with company policies and procedures. Must present a neat appearance and demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with staff, vendors, and the public. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commit to learning Microsoft Word and Excel within 60 days. Maintain acceptable attendance levels. Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment. Obtain ASE certification for parts specialist (P1) within the required timeframe.
