A well-established, family-owned business in the passenger transportation industry with employees across multiple states is seeking a Benefits Administrator to join their HR team. Headquartered in Wilmington, DE, this organization is committed to service, safety, and employee engagement while continuing to expand its school bus, transit, paratransit, and charter operations.

Key Responsibilities

Administer health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs including enrollments, changes, terminations, and compliance reporting. Audit and reconcile health insurance claims, invoices, and payroll contributions to ensure accuracy. Manage benefits data in HRIS/benefit systems; prepare reports and compliance documentation. Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries, 401(k) questions, and escalated issues. Lead wellness initiatives such as health screenings, seminars, and engagement activities. Partner with HR leadership, brokers, and vendors on Open Enrollment, ACA reporting, and ongoing plan compliance. Deliver benefits presentations for new hires and company-wide meetings. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. 3+ years of experience in employee benefits administration; self-funded plan experience strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and related compliance regulations. Proficiency with HRIS/benefit systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex benefits clearly. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information. Experience with wellness program development or administration preferred. Benefits Package
