Position Overview provides expert knowledge related to the financial tools used by finance, accounting and financial reporting departments across the business units. Effectively communicates across a diverse set of internal and external personnel, motivating departments to challenge themselves to reach their goals. Provide business and functional process knowledge in one or more of the areas within the finance, accounting and financial reporting departments across all business units. Identifies potential solutions to business problems by interacting with the finance, accounting and financial reporting departments using tool expertise, analytical skills and business knowledge across the business units. Effectively documents business requirements and translates into functional specifications for the technical team in easy to understand language. Participates in the testing of the solution to ensure the solution fits the phases required by customer requested business processes and reporting solutions. Identifies, evaluates and participates in the decision to implement new technology to meet existing or new business needs. Responsibilities Include: Gathers requirements through discussions with customers and documentation of use cases, and specifications or other appropriate means. Evaluates requirements documented by other team members. Conducts initial testing of requirements through the use of prototyping or other methods. Reviews and evaluates use cases and other functional designs that solve the business problems. Participates in validation of integration and regression test plans and execute tests against developed products. Prepares and maintains functional and design requirements documentation to be reviewed by manager and used by technical resources. Meets with the technical resources during the build process providing requirement clarification as needed. Ensures that technical resources are building a solution that meets the design requirements and escalates major deviations to manager. Participates in and coordinates system testing, executing developed test plan(s) and documenting and prioritizing defects discovered during testing.
