JOB SUMMARY
As a Buyer at Client, you will develop and implement global supplier and commodity strategies that drive long-term improvements in quality, cost, and delivery. You will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance competitive and commercial performance while managing supplier relationships and ensuring effective resolution of commercial issues throughout the product/service lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support or lead key contract negotiations, including cost analysis and negotiation of terms and conditions. Manage work queues, including sourcing parts/services and raising/managing purchase documents. Maintain supplier operations and relationships within the assigned commodity group. Implement cost reduction initiatives to support company cost targets. Support or lead the development and execution of commodity strategies. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree with 4+ years of operational, procurement, or logistical experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of operational, procurement, or logistical experience, OR
Master’s degree or JD/PhD, OR
6+ years of operational, procurement, or logistical experience in lieu of a degree .
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous procurement experience in a government environment. Technical knowledge relevant to the commodity area. Experience with global purchasing operations. Proficiency in SAP.
