The Scheduling & Procurement Specialist is responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules while managing the inventory and purchasing of materials. This role ensures that inventory levels meet production requirements and that production timelines are maintained to support customer demand and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Production Scheduling:

Develop and maintain daily/weekly production schedules to meet customer orders and internal targets.

Coordinate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to adjust schedules as needed.

Monitor progress to ensure on-time completion and address delays or capacity issues.

Procurement:

Source, purchase, and manage inventory of raw materials, packaging, and supplies in alignment with production needs.

Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors to achieve cost savings and reliable supply.

Track purchase orders and manage supplier performance to maintain quality and on-time delivery.

Inventory Management:

Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Conduct regular inventory reviews and reconcile discrepancies.

Collaboration & Reporting:

Communicate schedule changes and material requirements across departments.

Prepare reports on procurement costs, lead times, and production scheduling metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field ; equivalent experience considered.

2+ years of experience in production scheduling, procurement, or supply chain management.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.

Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Office-based with regular interaction on the production floor.

May require occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
