Vice President, Instruction

The Vice President of Instruction serves as the college Chief Instructional Officer, responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the operations and activities of the college educational programs and services. Essential Functions: Plans, organizes, and directs the operations and activities of the college educational programs, including instructional curriculum, policies, and procedures. Develops and implements plans and policies to facilitate and improve instructional programs. Directs the preparation of budgets for assigned programs and services; monitors and controls budget expenditures. Supervises staff development activities and trains, supervises, evaluates, and directs the work of personnel as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and at least one year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the assignment. Commitment to diversity and experience working with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds. Desirable Qualifications: Possession of an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution. At least three years of teaching or other academic experience as a faculty member. At least three years of administrative experience, preferably at a community college. Salary Range:

$190,126 - $239,986 Annually Working Conditions:

Office environment; subject to constant interruptions and frequent interaction with others; sitting for long periods at a time (up to 2-3 hours); may require off-site duties and activities. EEO Statement:
