Acquisition Intelligence Program Manager

This position requires 5 days to be onsite. Koniag Professional Services (KPS) is seeking an experienced Acquisition Intelligence Program Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of intelligence-related acquisition programs within the Department of Defense (DoD) for the Acquisition Integration and Interoperability (AI2) Office in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). This role combines deep expertise in national security acquisition processes with a strong understanding of intelligence operations, technologies, and stakeholder environments. The successful candidate will serve as a critical link between acquisition authorities, program sponsors, and mission operators-ensuring that intelligence capabilities are acquired and delivered efficiently, securely, and in alignment with DoD operational needs. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full lifecycle of intelligence acquisition programs-from requirements development through program execution and sustainment. Develop acquisition strategies and documentation in accordance with DoD 5000 Series framework. Prepare and maintain program documentation, including acquisition plans, program risk assessments, and test & evaluation plans. Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary interface between program offices, mission stakeholders, contracting officers, and intelligence operators. Facilitate coordination among government sponsors, military users, and technical teams to ensure alignment with operational intelligence priorities. Provide executive-level briefings, program updates, and status reports to leadership across DoD and IC organizations. Technical & Mission Understanding:
Work with analysts, engineers, and system architects to ensure technical solutions meet mission requirements for data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Support integration of new technologies (e.g., AI/ML, GEOINT, SIGINT, ISR platforms) into existing enterprise architectures. Identify and manage program risks, mitigation strategies, and readiness assessments Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI security clearance. 10+ years of experience in acquisition program management, with at least 3 in support of Defense or intelligence programs. Deep understanding of DoD or IC acquisition processes (e.g., Adaptive Acquisition Framework or JCIDS). Strong knowledge of intelligence systems, sensors, data platforms, and operational mission support. Proven experience interfacing with senior government officials, technical teams, and end-users. Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience in executive-level reporting and briefings. Preferred:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in National Security, Engineering, Intelligence Studies, Business, or related field. Experience supporting agencies such as DIA, NGA, NRO, NSA, or a Combatant Command (COCOM). Familiarity with classified acquisition programs (e.g., SAP, SCI programs).
