NX Expert
Astro Mechanica is seeking an NX Expert with deep expertise in 5-axis programming, CAM workflows, and shop-floor training. You thrive at the intersection of digital programming and hands-on shop-floor execution, bridging the gap between design intent and manufactured reality. You take pride in building parts that push the boundaries of aerospace performance, and you're motivated by solving hard problems in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. What You'll Do: Instruct the prototyping team in Siemens NX best practices, workflows, and toolpath strategies Program initial parts (focus on 5-axis machining) to validate and optimize workflows Configure NX software and post processors for our equipment Work with the team to develop a digital tool library aligned with the physical tooling inventory Provide fixture design, post-processor tuning, and workflow optimization guidance Deliver hands-on training and mentoring to ensure the team can execute with precision and efficiency What We're Looking For: Proven expertise in Siemens NX CAD/CAM, with strong focus on 5-axis programming Experience configuring post processors and integrating with shop-floor equipment Deep understanding of toolpath strategies, fixture design, and workflow optimization Prior experience training and mentoring prototyping/machining teams Ability to align digital environments with real-world tooling and machining practices Perks And Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, including Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) program and transparent stock option plan Self-managed and flexible time-off policy, including PTO, paid holidays, and sick time Flexible work environment Company-funded perks, including weekly team lunches and Astro Mechanica swag Additional Information: At Astro Mechanica, we highly value in-office work to foster collaboration and strengthen our company culture.
