Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 12/22/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of MRI experience and current ARRT(MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB certification. Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based radiology department with 244 licensed beds Perform MRI studies for ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations Average of 23 MRI studies per day, with higher volumes on weekdays Serve a large population of medical device patients and perform cases requiring anesthesia as needed No cardiac imaging performed in this department Department uses Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, Philips iSite PACS, and GE 1.5T SIGNA Artist 450W MRI No floating required No call responsibility Travelers will be scheduled to work 75% of holidays Black scrubs required Responsibilities include performing and documenting MRI studies, reviewing patient histories, and administering IV contrast Assist anesthesia and other medical personnel for procedural support Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and emergency policies Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding and up to 1 week of department training as needed Tech assistant support provided on overnight shifts, as well as guest services and transport for patients Surface lot and parking deck parking is available at no cost Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent MRI experience Current ARRT(R) or NMTCB and ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification BLS certification required No NC licensure required Must maintain knowledge of MRI safety practices for patients and staff Must be skilled in patient assessment, contrast administration, and operation of MRI equipment Experience charting in Epic EMR preferred Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility First-time travelers will be considered License required if applicable Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613968.
