Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in the instruction and functions of a variety of youth sports programs and monitors the activities of an assigned area.
- Assist in developing new sports programs, drills, and/or procedures to ensure efficient implementation of Rec-Plex activities.
- Communicate effectively to address participant questions and concerns regarding sport techniques, rules, and training plans.
- Assists staff with handling difficult situations and makes judgments on how to direct concerns to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Performs general janitorial duties as needed and maintains equipment, facility, and environment in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Performs all work in compliance with established City safety standards.
- Performs other work as assigned.
- Must be 16 years or older.
- High School graduate or GED certificate.
- Experience in coaching or teaching sports, including individual or group sessions (desired qualification).
- First Aid and CPR/AED Certification (desired qualification).
