The analyst will partner with business users to capture current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) processes, define requirements, identify application dependencies, and recommend process improvements. The role also involves creating detailed documentation, process flows, and supporting change management activities.

We are looking for a Business/Sr Business Analyst. This role provides project documentation and business analysis support across multiple initiatives. The analyst will partner with business users to capture current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) processes, define requirements, identify application dependencies, and recommend process improvements. The role also involves creating detailed documentation, process flows, and supporting change management activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze existing systems, processes, and dependencies; prepare clear documentation of current state and proposed future state use cases.
- Develop, update, and maintain process flows, business rules, and supporting diagrams using Visio or similar tools.
- Serve as a primary liaison between clients, project managers, and technical teams to ensure shared understanding of business needs and system interactions.
- Support project managers by providing insights into user experience, business impacts, and process design considerations.
- Monitor project backlogs, assist in prioritization, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
- Create and maintain comprehensive business analysis deliverables including requirements documents, traceability matrices, data dictionaries, meeting notes, and training materials.
- Jump in to support the team with ad-hoc tasks and deliverables when needed to meet deadlines.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, capturing and documenting detailed business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Provide timely updates and progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Track, manage, and resolve change requests from initiation through completion, ensuring proper follow-up and closure.
- Partner with business clients to develop requirements for new use cases and enhancements.
- Document and track recurring issues in business systems or processes, recommending long-term efficiency improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and correctly implemented.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience with third-party software implementations.
- Demonstrated experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience producing core BA deliverables (e.g., requirements documents, As-Is and To-Be diagrams, use cases, traceability matrix, data dictionary, business rules, meeting notes).
- Proven ability to drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
- Strong background in requirements gathering, process design, and documentation.
- Proficiency with process mapping tools such as Visio (or similar).
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities within matrixed, cross-functional project teams.
- Positive, energetic, and solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical groups.
- Knowledge of documentation best practices, including version control and requirement tracking.
- IIBA certification.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Exposure to data inputs/outputs in Market Risk systems.
- Familiarity with reporting requirements and tools such as Tableau or Alteryx.
