English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher Split Campus: Duncanville Elementary (MWF) & Mansfield Elementary (TTH) Position Summary:

UME Preparatory Academy is seeking a passionate and qualified ESL Teacher to provide instructional support to English Learners (ELs) at both the Duncanville and Mansfield Elementary campuses. This role is integral in helping students develop English language proficiency and succeed academically while supporting district compliance with state and federal ESL requirements. Key Responsibilities: Deliver English language instruction aligned with TEKS and ELPS (English Language Proficiency Standards). Provide language acquisition support through various ESL models (pull-out, push-in, content-based). Use second language acquisition strategies to scaffold instruction for diverse learners. Administer and interpret ESL assessments, including TELPAS and other district tools. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data and individual learning needs. Maintain accurate student records, including progress reports and LPAC documentation. Participate in LPAC meetings and support the identification, placement, and reclassification of EL students. Foster a culturally inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes student confidence. Collaborate with general education teachers to support ESL accommodations and language objectives across content areas. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, including through translation services when needed. Participate in campus and district professional development related to ESL instruction and compliance. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree

from an accredited college or university Valid Texas Teaching Certificate

with the following: Core subject area certification (EC-6 or equivalent) ESL Supplemental Certification (#154)

Demonstrated knowledge of second language acquisition, culturally responsive pedagogy, and ESL assessment tools Excellent communication and classroom management skills Ability to work on two campuses and manage travel time efficiently Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred Prior experience working with emergent bilingual students Familiarity with LPAC procedures and compliance requirements Experience implementing sheltered instruction or SIOP Model strategies Work Schedule & Compensation: This is a full-time salaried position split across two campuses. Compensation is based on district salary schedule and educator experience.
