Base pay range
$140,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr SUMMARY The Director of People Operations will serve as a working director to plan, lead, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the People Operations department, ensuring acceptable productivity, legal compliance, and implementation of the organization's mission and strategy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead the People Operations department functions to achieve strategic goals and operational objectives Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, engagement, and retention. Support and enhance the culture through aligning programs and initiatives to the Mission, Vision, and Values Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs. Support the development and implementation of the Learning & Development program, including leadership development and career development Administer and oversee the administration of human resource programs, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale. Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management. D evelop and e xecute company-wide initiatives and measure impact throughout the year Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. Develop and monitor company-wide data and metrics as they relate to the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition departments. Thoughtfully generate responses based on trends and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Manage risk and employment-related liability exposure by ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices across Human Resources functions Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management. Oversee compliance reporting (e.g., EEO-1, etc.). Develop and manage departmental budget. Aim for continuous improvement within the department and company-wide 20% - 25% travel required to jobsites and regional office locations In office presence is required, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm Perform other duties as required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Travel is expected as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Excellent data and analytics experience Ability to build professional relationships with leadership and workforce quickly to support the business appropriately Ability to operate well at the strategic level but is also able to implement plans and lead individuals through the strategic and hands-on tactical aspects of the planning and implementation processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization's HRIS and applicable systems. Construction industry experience is preferred
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or related work experience in Operations, HR, Coaching, L&D, Customer Service Minimum of 8+ years of experience (Operations, HR, Coaching, etc.) SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is highly preferred
