Pay Range:
$42 - $47/hr
Job Description
This role supports the electric GIS team on a project to replace legacy mapping systems with ArcFM, Schneider's mapping platform. The QA/QC Support Specialist will focus on data validation, map accuracy, and system testing to ensure integrity and functionality of migrated mapping data.
Qualifications GIS experience required Bachelor's degree required Minimum 2 years' experience using ESRI ArcMap; knowledge of Esri GIS preferred Experience with MXD building, spatial queries, and spatial analysis Background in utility environments strongly preferred Self-starter with strong motivation, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision Strong analytical and organizational skills with technical background Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Duties
Perform queries to validate accuracy of legacy mapping data migrated to Esri systems Review land base symmetry, structure connectivity, and cable connectivity Verify attribute data for linear and point features related to electric and gas components Update and provide solutions for map symbology as needed Conduct system testing to confirm functionality of the new mapping platform Maintain and organize database spreadsheets and other records Prioritize and manage data review tasks to meet deadlines Support additional GIS projects as assigned
Results Required
Develop working knowledge of the eGIS project and mapping systems Gain familiarity with mapping processes, documentation, and supporting software Build ability to interpret various types of electrical and gas maps
