Position: Quality Inspector
Location: San Jose, CA area
Duration: On-going
Ferquency: 30 hrs per week - W2
Compensation: $33/hr
Job Description:
The quality inspector shall support on-site to perform documentation, visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
Validate all product and paperwork compliant to including but not limited to:
engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.
Inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure these items conform to customers purchase order requirements and specifications
Perform a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques
Report via operating systems for Customer and Verify while communicating any non-conformance while providing reject or rework disposition. Must be willing to utilize personal laptop to complete task.
Candidate must posses at least 5 years experience with:
Inspection of tight tolerances
Complex assemblies, Large Mill Turn Parts
Special Processes
J-STD 001 Soldering inspections
Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required, including complete review of technical data package for full traceability of documents.
EXperience with both mechanical and electronic inspections (PWB,PWA)
Experience using various inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Requirements:
Posses soft skills to clearly communicate non-conformances internally and externally
Candidate should be computer savvy and
MUST
be willing to use personal laptop to complete inspection reporting via SPP (Supplier Performance Platform)
Must be willing to utilize personal cell phone
Must be willing to work in fast paced manufacturing environment and posses all PPE required per suppliers safety requirements.
Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, maneuver
Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
