We are seeking an experience

Aerospace Quality Inspector,

with experience with Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) Inspection and Printed Wiring Boards (PWB), within 60 miles of Bloomington, IL.

CCA Inspector shall travel to local supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections for manufactured parts, assemblies and /or sub-assemblies prior to shipment. Source Inspections will be on an as needed basis, averaging 30-40/hrs week. Inspector will utilize processes and inspection / reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

The quality inspector shall travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on circuit card assemblies (CCA), cable harness, connectors, manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.

Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.

The inspector will be required to report inspection accept / reject information directly to the customer via web application.

Qualifications Qualifications:

Working Knowledge:

Candidate shall:

Have 5-10 years of practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on various commodities, including but not limited to CCA, PWB, Machined parts, Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies.

Understand Aerospace standards, such as but not limited to,

AS9100,

AS9102,

ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)

Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).

Experience using various mechanical inspection tools

Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard.

RevC knowledge is preferred but not required

Have IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification or working knowledge. If certification has been held but is expired; expiration date required.

Work Environment:

Must Be able to:

Work in fast paced manufacturing environment

Provide PPE as required per supplier policies

Stand, sit, bend, kneel or maneuver as required to complete inspection
