Quality Control Specialist

for our Brooklyn Corporate Office who is a strong communicator, pays extremes attention to detail and is committed to excellence in customer service.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for conducting quality control audits to ensure accuracy of reported information and consistent quality standards are upheld. In this important position he/she liaises with Coordination, Authorizations, and Intake teams to retain patients and ensure all barriers from the patient receiving services are removed.

The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to enjoy working in a team environment, acquire new skills and continue to develop as Preferred home care continuously expands!

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate; some college credit preferred.

One-year experience in other work-related experience, preferably within the health care services industry.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Constituent Database (HHA Exchange).

Investigative ability, highly organized, self-motivated, takes initiative, excellent written and verbal communication and analytical critical thinking skills; able to perform without much supervision.

Understands the regulations governing the home care field, related to Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance.

Understanding of communicating effectively with employee, patients and their families, medical and community affiliates in order to develop positive relationships and retention purposes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to define problems and tasks, collect data and establish facts, reconcile information and facilitate resolve with Supervisors when necessary.

Self-starter who will maximize number of patients reached per day.
