As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a key role in assisting the Team Leader in line operations and operate equipment that is critical to the packaging process. Able to perform all mechanical and physical activities required to maintain the efficient operation of the equipment. Understands the key function of the equipment to operate in a safe and compliant manner. Is formally trained in making minor adjustments and has some level of understanding on change over and setup. Able to assist in the purgation and cleaning of the machinery when applicable. Prefer previous experience working in a manufacturing environment and working with packaging equipment.

o Hourly Pay: $15.00/hr
o Shift Differential: $0.75/hr - $2.00/hr, depending on shift and location

What You’ll Do:
· Keep assigned lines running.
· Make adjustments to equipment when necessary (labelers, bundlers, conveyors, tape machines, fillers, etc.)
· Adjustments include, but are not limited to the following:
· Screw timing (after special training)
· Label adjustments
· Change rolls of sleeves, bundle film, tape, etc.
· Keeping conveyors running clean.
· Minor adjustments to carton machines, cappers, bundlers, or any machines on assigned lines so equipment can run trouble free.
· Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues. Contact mechanic of the problem cannot be easily fixed.
· Clear jams and maintain a clean area to meet GMP requirements.
· Coder operation and changes (Linx, Videojet, Embossing,etc)
· Assist mechanic during repairs.
· Keep assigned line mechanic informed of adjustments of improvements made to equipment.
· Identify problems, which need further attention by a mechanic.
· Maintain and record line efficiencies
· Ensure material supply for continuous operation
· Meet area GMP and housekeeping standards
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Possess fluency in written and spoken English.
· Previous experience in manufacturing or packaging environment .
· Ability to follow directions, ask questions, and adapt to changing assignments.
· Ability to understand a written production specification.
· Understanding of machine operations with the ability to identify and report issues.
· Strong attention to detail to detect defects and ensure quality standards are met.
· Reliable, safety-minded team player able to stay composed under pressure.
· Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
Physical Requirements:
· Visual acuity to read batch codes and identify small product defects.
· Manual dexterity to keep pace with high-speed production lines.
· Strength to lift, push, and carry up to 30 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, or kneel on concrete floors for full shift periods.
· Hearing ability to detect speech and alarms through plant noise.
· Peripheral vision and recognition for inspections.
