Deli Counter Specialist

Job Summary Serve and assist members at the deli counter, slicing, packaging, and weighing deli products. Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the deli area, while providing exceptional service to members. Provide high level of customer service by answering questions and recommending deli items Slice, package, and weigh deli products and help members select the correct products Receive and inspect deli shipments, stock and rotate products, and ensure quality standards are met Operate and handle deli equipment in accordance with safety policies and procedures Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department Ensure scale systems are in working order and maintain all club policies and procedures Qualifications Prior work experience in a deli department preferred Knowledge of deli products and experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred Must be at least 18 years of age Environmental Job Conditions Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items Located in a comfortable indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning agents
