Our client is hiring a
Supply Chain Specialist
in Burnsville.
This is a 90 day contract, potentially longer. This role is onsite, Monday-Friday.
Pay rate : $29.00-38.00/HR
Key Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Specialist:
Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate and relevant demand plans that guide purchasing and production decisions.
Utilize material planning tools (e.g., FishBowl Inventory Management Software) to forecast, trigger, and track purchase and manufacturing work orders.
Perform purchasing duties by analyzing inventory levels and generating purchase orders for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
Work collaboratively with suppliers on quoting, order placement, and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery.
Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and packing inventory and products.
Drive optimal inventory levels and track performance metrics such as Days on Hand and Inventory Turns.
Establish and implement best practices for inventory tracking, reconciliation, and accuracy, including periodic inventory counts.
Support field teams by managing trunk stock inventory as needed.
Partner with accounting to review purchase price variances and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with Quality System requirements and environmental, health, and safety policies.
Qualifications of the Supply Chain Specialist:
Bachelor’s degree required; in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the medical device industry or another complex manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with FishBowl Inventory Management Software or similar ERP/MRP systems.
