The Wisconsin Sports Performance Coach oversees class, small group, and personal training sessions. This includes providing top-notch customer service to clients, coaching every rep, tracking member progress, and maintaining the gym facilities. Responsibilities: • Provide top-notch customer service to clients • Greet athletes by name and have the weight room prepared for their group • Talk to athletes during their lifts and say goodbye as they leave • If time permits, use the FORM method to get to know clients on a personal level (Family, Occupation, Recreation, Memory) Sessions: • Know what each exercise is and the proper coaching cues for it • COACH EVERY REP • Provide feedback with value that the athlete can use to improve their next rep/set (e.g., "Drive the knee up," "Down and out with your legs," "Squeeze your core as you punch overhead") • Use some cheerleading, but not the whole time • Create a positive and supportive learning environment for all clients • Track member progress • Maintain the gym facilities • Find new members to grow the business • Generate referrals • Promote WSP’s services to potential clients Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field • 1+ years of experience as a personal trainer or fitness coach • Strong knowledge of exercise science and training principles • Ability to coach and motivate athletes of all ages and fitness levels • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desired Skills: • Experience with a variety of fitness training modalities, including weightlifting, plyometrics, and sports-specific training • Experience working with youth athletes • Experience tracking client progress and developing personalized training programs • Experience with social media marketing Compensation: $15 - $35 hourly
