Job Title: Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Cath Lab Experience Required License: ARRT Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Required Must-Have: - Current Skills Checklist pertinent to the specialty - 2 Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years - Permanent address outside of a 50-mile radius Description: This position sets up all radiographic equipment prior to performing angiographic procedures. Processes and performs quality control checks on cine radiographic images. Assists in preparing patients for procedures. Assists other members of the cath lab and interventional radiology staff and physicians as needed. Ensures timely and efficient use of the cardiac cath lab and special procedures. Assists in prepping patients, sterile tray setup, post-cath care and procedures, and room cleanup. Manipulates equipment and sets appropriate techniques on radiographic generators to achieve optimal image quality. Operates a variety of electronic equipment including cardiac output computers, oxygen saturation equipment, hemodynamic equipment, and pacemakers. Performs oxygen saturation studies and cardiac output measurements. On-call requirement: 10 days of call per month. Weekend description: For call only.
