Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: CT (Computed Tomography) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Day/Night Rotate Every 3rd weekend call Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: ND Lic Certifications: BLS, ARRT (CT) Must-Have: Competent in diagnostic imaging, Must have CTA experience Description: The department requires BLS and ARRT (CT) certifications. No clinical involvement is needed. Must have CTA experience. Candidates should be competent in diagnostic imaging. Experience with a minimum of 2 years is required. Previous travel experience is preferred but not required. Candidates may be cross-trained into Radiology or MRI. The department has 1 CT scanner, 1 X-ray room, 1 Ultrasound room, 1 MRI, 1 Nuc Med camera, 1 portable X-ray, and 1 C-arm. Common types of imaging/studies performed include CT/CTA head, neck, upper and lower extremities, abdomen, pelvis, spine, cervical, lumbar, and maxillofacial/sinus diagnostic images. On a day shift, the average number of scans/studies is 5-30 patients per day. On night shifts, the average number is 2-12 patients per day. The software and hardware used include Meditech for EMR and PACS. Department-specific equipment includes CT and X-ray from Siemens, MRI from Philips, NM from Digirad, and Ultrasound from Philips. There is no Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift. Radiologists are not in-house. Rotating call schedules are in place. Weekend and holiday work is required, with rotating call coverage. Call requirements include availability from 0001-0600 with a response time of 20 minutes. Scrubs are not provided, and there is no specific color requirement for the department. The department offers CT and X-ray services 24/7 with no routine call required unless short-staffed. Staff can work autonomously and are supported by experienced colleagues. Flexibility and the ability to work in both fast-paced and slower environments are important attributes. Candidates should be open to accepting add-on outpatient exams and maintain a positive demeanor while collaborating with others.
